Solar Power Leases Sony’s East Huntingdon Site To Expand Its Production Capabilities

Solar Power Industries Inc. (Solar Power) is leasing part of Sony Corp.’s plant in Westmoreland county. Solar Power is expanding its production capabilities by moving equipment into 265,000 square feet of Sony Technology Center-Pittsburgh in East Huntingdon. The company signed a lease in March 2009 and is awaiting state permits so that it can begin production by the end of the month.
