Silverbrook Farm installs wind turbine

Andrew Pollock was looking for ways to become more environmentally conscious with the day-to-day operations of his family-run farm. About a year ago, the second generation farmer consulted with Barbara Hanley, secretary for the Agricultural Commission in Westport. Hanley suggested the use of a wind turbine as a source of energy for his 50-acre Silverbrook Farm and Pollock jumped at the idea.
